Answer:
The PK-13 + ES-1 + 55mm f/2.8 AIS + D300 will NOT show the entire 24×36 mm frame of film because of the DX crop factor. You must use an FX camera. With DX, you have find a way to move the ES-1 further away from the front of the lens to be able to photograph a slide without cropping the edges off.

I'm curious about the new 40mm f/2.8G; will this lens allow us to mount the ES-1 and photograph the entire 24×36 mm image area of a slide?

I'm interested in this combo for digitizing old slides. With a DX body I will have to use a 1:1.5 magnification ratio rather than 1:1, can the ES-1 be extended far enough to achieve this? Will I need additional spacers between ES-1 and the 40mm DX Micro?

It needs to be attached to either the AF 60mm 2.8 micro or the 55mm 2.8 micro to be able to copy file and with extension tubes on the 55mm to copy slides.

I have a Nikon D-7000. I would like to know whether it is possible to make a copy of my old slides and negatives by using the ES-1 Slide adapter with the AF-S DX micro Nikkor 85mm lens. I suppose that I should employ any kind of extension tube to do it. In the case to do it, what class and length of extension tube should I employ?.
Thank you so much
